  • Harrison wrestlers busy with two competitions last week

    The Harrison County Thorobreds wrestling squad had a busy week as they faced some tough competition in two locations.

    On Wednesday, Dec. 9, the Thorobreds traveled to Mt. Sterling to take on region rival Montgomery County. 

    According to Coach Russ Riegel, this was the single biggest match so far this year.  Montgomery County is one of the 10 regional teams that will compete in the round robin super duals with the winners advancing to the state super duals.

    My friend Pernilla suggested that all gifts should be ones that can “be used up” for a good purpose. So, something one could eat, use to cook with, to bathe with; perhaps something we could decorate with and when finished it would be a good addition to the compost pile? 

    I have planned ahead a bit: this summer when I was canning and processing things from the garden, I did extra so I could give them as heartfelt thanks to friends during the holidays.
