After having three months of a declining unemployment rate, Harrison County once again has jumped back up to 11 percent of its labor force out of work.
According to figures released from the Kentucky Labor Cabinet, Harrison County’s 11 percent October figure increased from 10.5 percent in September.
There are 1,057 people who are recognized as being unemployed locally from the 9,575 labor force.
Harrison County had been on a declining trend since the June high rate of 12.2 percent. In July, the rate dropped to 11.0 followed by August’s 10.8.
