    Arrests, warnings, citations

    May 31 -- Jeff D. Davis, 24, was arrested at Fourth Street and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of controlled substance, methamphetamine, and theft of controlled substance under $300.

    May 31 -- Rita J. Hensley, 33, was cited on East Bridge Street for failure to wear seat belts.

    May 31 -- Markus L. Kellione, 41, was cited on Church Street for failure to wear seat belts and failure to produce insurance card.

    Vacation Bible School

    Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy learning, singing, crafts and recreation at Camp E.D.G.E. at Boyers Chapel Methodist Church. VBS will be held July 1 and 8 from 6-8 p.m. All age groups are welcome to attend including adults.

  • Oldham seeks repeat at CCC

    University of Kentucky golfer Derek Oldham will attempt to win his second consecutive Men’s Invitational Golf Tournament this weekend at the Cynthiana Country Club.         

    Oldham, a senior-to-be in the coming school year, outlasted five-time winner Bart Lenox last year in the tournament by two strokes.

    “The Cynthiana Country Club is a fun course to play,” said Oldham on Tuesday night. “I know Bart and Mike (Lenox) well and enjoy playing with them.”

    CUMMINS

    Joseph and Lydia Fleming Cummins were married in Bourbon County, Ky. in 1793 and lived at Antioch Mills in what is now Harrison County, Ky.  They had 13 children and 140 grandchildren. The family has grown to include many families and all are invited to attend. Call if you have questions.

    The reunion will be held June 19-21 in Effingham, Ill. Housing will be at the Comfort Suites Inn, 1310 W.  Fayette Dr., in Effingham, Call 217-342-3151 for reservations. Indicate that you are with the Cummins reunion when you call.
