  • Harrison County High School Fees

    Parents will receive a bill for student fees this year from the high school.

    HCHS is asking parents not to send money or blank checks with their students on the first day of school, Tuesday, Aug. 11.

    Students will report to their homerooms on the first day of classes, where they will receive their schedules and forms that will need to be filled out and returned to school immediately.

    To the editor:

    What an evening we had in the much alive and vibrant downtown Cynthiana, Ky. last Friday evening! The area was clean.Shops were open. Music was in the air. Citizens and visitors were strolling the sidewalks, greeting each other with smiles and chatting. Why, it was just like the dream so many of us have for our city and county and had expressed in the Harrison County Tomorrow planning. And it was already happening!

  • Breds and Fillies linksters ready to go

    The Harrison County Thorobreds golf team got one round in and was washed out in the second round of the Franklin County Flyer Invitational on Monday and Tuesday this week.

    The 36-hole medal play event was to be played on Monday at Griffin Gate in Lexington and Tuesday at Juniper Hills in Frankfort.

    The Breds finished in the upper half of the 25 teams who competed after Monday’s round, but had the tournament washed out on Tuesday due to the torrential rains that hit the state.
