    CENTRAL CHRISTIAN

    Central Christian Church youth is having a huge multi-family yard sale in the parking lot on Saturday, July 11 beginning at 8 a.m.

    The church is located at the corner of Second and Riggs Ave.

    Claysville Christian Church will sponsor a bingo on Thursday, July 2 at Biancke’s at 10:30 a.m.

  • Fabulous Fourth is Saturday

    The Cynthiana Rotary Club will host the annual Fabulous Fourth celebration this Saturday on the Hilltop.

    Held behind Southside Elementary, the Fabulous Fourth event will begin at 5 p.m. with games and booths for kids.

    Live entertainment will be provided by the Blue Collar Rebels Band.

    Hot dogs, hamburgers, nachos, cotton candy, pizza, Avi’s pies, homemade lemonade and snow cones will be sold at food booths.

    The event will end with a fireworks display at dark.

    The Fabulous Fourth event is free to the public.

  • Longest Day of play held at Flat Run Veterans' Park

    The fourth annual Longest Day of Play was held Monday evening at Flat Run Veterans’ Park from 6-8 p.m.

    Hosted by The Community Health Partnership Wellness Committee, the event featured booths offering kids a variety of physical activities and games, including jump rope, tai chi, Jazzercise, dancing and badminton.

  • Fab Fourth activities return to the Hilltop

    The hilltop will once again be the place to celebrate on July 4.

    Coordinated by the Cynthiana Rotary Club, this year’s Fabulous Fourth celebrations will begin at 5 p.m. with free games and booths for kids.

    “We’ve been doing it to give back to the community,” said Rotary member and Fabulous Fourth coordinator Roger Despard.

    Hot dogs, hamburgers, nachos, cotton candy, pizza, Avi’s pies, homemade lemonade, snow cones and many more items will be sold at the Rotary food booths on the hill.
