The following information from the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office indicates drivers and/or owners whose vehicles were involved in accidents.
March 5 – At 12:15 p.m., a non-injury accident was reported on Lower Curry Road when Cara Chambers lost control of her vehicle causing her to run through a fence.

Harrison County Middle School sixth grader Matthew McCarty set the early pace in the 2012 Region 8 archery tournament with a score of 287, but it was his unflappable performance in a pressure-packed tiebreaker shoot-off that helped propel him to the Region 8 overall male champion.
In the process, he also led all male shooters in the elementary division to capture that title as well. Shooting against an Augusta Independent sophomore, McCarty drilled the 5-arrow playoff to outshoot his opponent 45-39.
