    Breds scrimmage at Rupp Saturday
    to open season
    The season didn’t open officially until Monday night, but the Harrison County Thorobreds had an exceptional opportunity to begin Saturday morning at Rupp Arena.  
    The Breds scrimmaged against the Green County Dragons coming away with a 41-27 victory. Green County, much like the Thorobreds, suffered severe losses by graduation and were playing five new starters. Harrison County took advantage of this and using pressure,, caused 19 turnovers 11 of them steals.

    The following information from the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office indicates drivers and/or owners whose vehicles were involved in accidents.
    Nov. 19 – At 8 a.m., a non-injury accident. Mark Posey, 42, reported that his car was ran off the road by another driver.
    Nov. 20 – At 5:04 p.m., a non-injury accident occurred when Debra Kelly, 49, was driving on KY 36 and missed her turn and ran off the road and became stuck in a ditch.

    Nov. 19 -- Haley A. Diamond, 16, was issued a warning on Ladish Road for disregarding a stop sign.
    Nov. 19 -- Christopher D. Woolums, 17, was issued a warning on Church Street for having no taillights.
    Nov. 19 -- Sarah B. Moore, 33, was cited on U.S. 27 South at KC Provisions for speeding 10 mph over the limit.
    Nov. 19 -- James R. Roland, 57, was cited on U.S. 27 South at KC Provisions for speeding 10 mph over the limit.
    Nov. 19 -- Shannonn K. Whitt, 37, was arrested on Pleasant Street and charged with second degree wanton endangerment.

    Landon Gunnar Thomas was born to Drew and Brittany Thomas of Falmouth, Ky. on Nov. 17, 2010 at St. Elizabeth North. He weighed 9 lbs. 1 oz., and is welcomed by his sister, Addison Jo.
    Maternal grandparents are Rick and Pam Yelton of Morgan, Ky.
    Paternal grandparents are Jackie and Joy Thomas of Butler, Ky.
    Great-grandparents are Jack and Pat Yelton, Cecil and Dottie Alsip and Brenda Thomas of Cynthiana and the late Jack Thomas.

    Hunter Raymond McElfresh was born to Robert and Kendra (Earlywine) McElfresh, formerly of Cynthiana, on Nov. 23, 2010 at Community East Hospital in Indianapolis, Ind. He weighed 6 lbs. 1 oz. He is welcomed by his sisters, Kayleigh May Thompson and Jaden Thomas Fryman.
    Maternal grandparents are Kimberly (Duke) Richardson and Jeffery Earlywine; maternal great-grandparents are Charles Raymond Thompson and Sandra Darlene Thompson.
    Paternal grandparents are Robin (Kiskaden) Joseph and Eric Joseph; paternal great-grandparents are the Late Bob and Della Kiskaden.
