    HCHS CLASS OF 1994

    The Harrison County High School Class of 1994 invites all classmates to attend their 15 year reunion Saturday, Sept. 26 from 8 p.m. – midnight at Cherry Blossom Golf and Country Club in Georgetown, Ky. Cost is $60 for a couple or $35 for an individual.

  • Signups for Ag Development programs taken till end of August

    The Harrison County Ag Development Board is continuing sign-ups for the Hay and Grain Storage and Water Enhancement Programs until the end of August. Anyone that is interested in participating in this program should stop by the Harrison County Extension Office and pick up an application. Rules and regulations pertaining to these programs are continued from previous sign-ups so tobacco dependency is still an important part of the program.

  • Celtic music will be ringing at Rohs Sunday

    Cynthiana may be a far way from Ireland, but Celtic music won’t be hard to find in town Sunday.

    Co-sponsored by the Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library and the Cynthiana Arts Council, ‘The Muses,’ a Celtic folk art band will perform at Rohs Opera House this Sunday at 2 p.m.

    “They put on a great show,” said library adult programming coordinator Cindy Franklin. “This is for everyone... it’s a family fun event.”

  • Teens at UK in fair condition

    Three Harrison County teens are recovering after a Monday afternoon accident.

    The three boys were on a rough terrain vehicle (RTV) and traveling along the shoulder of U.S. 62. According to Harrison County Sheriff’s Deputy Dean Hutchison, Bryan Carroll, 13, was driving the Kubota RTV.

    Ronald Hinton, 16, who had a learner’s permit, was westbound on U.S. 62 in a 2001 Chevrolet 3500 one-ton truck pulling a flat-bed trailer.

  • Angelucci to sign third gardening book at Taste of Harrison County Sept. 12

    Growing up in Cynthiana, Karen Williams Angelucci knew that gardening was her thing. She has taken it to the extreme at times, and has had many successes and failures in the art of gardening. Angelucci created her first book, Secrets of a Kentucky Gardener, to help herself and others get a grip on their landscape; so they could reap the rewards as she does.
