Interim coach Luke Tucker is quick to tell you that he would like the job as head coach, but that without Russ Riegel, he wouldn’t be much of a coach.
“He was my mentor and my coach,” said Tucker Monday evening. Whoever is the new coach has a huge set of shoes to fill.”
Riegel’s Hall of Fame knowledge and coaching techniques are only part of the absence that will be felt on the mats this season. Also gone are two seniors who were key to the program’s grand success over the past several years.

“This will be a great experience for Brooke and for the Fillies’ team,” said Coach Danny Simpson. “She has certainly earned it by working hard and racing well.”
