    Case reports
    July 9 – At 12:33 p.m., police were called to Kentucky Bank regarding a possible forged check. A witness told police that Amanda R. Easley attempted to cash a check on an account of Chris Dailey for $130. The check had been altered. A complaint is pending.
    July 9 – At 5:43 p.m., Barry D. Turner and McKayla F. Shaw  reported that they had been threatened by former tenants. They were going to seek complaints with the county attorney’s office.

    Traffic Cases
    July 11 – At 1:40 p.m., a non-injury accident was reported on US 27 10 miles from town. Sharon Linville was traveling on US 27 when a deer jumped into the road causing her to strike the deer.
    July 12 – At 10:30 a.m., a non-injury accident was reported on US 27 one mile from town. Tamera Fairfield was attempting to pull into a gas station when she was struck by a vehicle driven by Jason Skaggs.

    July 1 – At 1:44 a.m., Tanya Poe, 212 W. Pike St., reported that an X-Box 360 was taken from her home sometime between 5:30 p.m. June 30, and 1:44 a.m. on July 1.
    July 1 – At 12:35 p.m., Tiffany Smith reported that Jessica Ford had allegedly pawned her husband’s PS3 and television. Money from the pawn of the items was reportedly used to pay a water bill.

    July 7 – At 11:11 p.m., an injury accident was reported on KY 1284 13 miles from town. Elijah Reffett was traveling on KY 1284 when he entered a curve and lost control causing him to strike several trees and a fence before coming to a final rest down an embankment.
    July 6 – At 12:48 p.m., a non-injury accident was reported on US 27 five miles from town. Gary Liver was traveling on US 27 when he slowed down due to traffic and was struck in the rear by a vehicle driven by Barbara Florence.

  • Cynthiana Police Department

    Case reports
    June 28 – At 9:15 p.m., police witnessed Louis Cox Jr., make a left turn from Republican Pike onto U.S. 62 East, accelerating to the point that the tires on his vehicle lost traction with the pavement. Making a traffic stop on Cox, police then suspected alcohol involvement. Cox was arrested and charged with careless driving and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs/etc. first offense.
