    Traffic Cases
    The following information from the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office indicates drivers and/or owners whose vehicles were involved in accidents.

    April 28 – At 6:43 p.m., a non injury accident was reported on Stringtown Webber Road. Ricky Johnson was traveling on Stringtown Webber Road when he said a tan vehicle caused him to drive off the road resulting in him hitting a tree.

    The following information from the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office indicates drivers and/or owners whose vehicles were involved in accidents.
    April 18 – At 11:50 a.m., a non-injury accident was reported on US 62. Susan Switzer-Perrin was traveling on US 62 when a turkey flew into and broke her windshield.
    April 22 – At 1:54 p.m., a non-injury accident was reported on US 62. Daniel Hurst was attempting to cross US 62 and failed to see a vehicle driven by Timothy Endris and struck him in the rear.

    Arrests, citations, warnings
    April 24 -- Bernardo Ramirez, 26, was arrested on Midnight Court and charged with disorderly conduct.
    April 26 -- Daniel R. Gaunce, 30, was arrested on Court Street on a Harrison County warrant for fourth degree assault, domestic violence, minor injury, and violation of a Kentucky emergency protective order (EPO).
    April 26 -- Timothy M. Newkirk, 28, was arrested on Main Street and charged with operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license.

    William C. ‘Billy’ Beckett, 1944, of Lexington, Ky., is not the same Billy Beckett, 1978, that has appeared in the Harrison County District Court records in last week’s Cynthiana Democrat.

  • Cynthiana Police Department

    Case reports
    April 3 – At 5:30 p.m., Brian Bell of Bell’s Pawn Shop in Harrison Square reported that he had recovered a stolen laptop.
    April 4 – At 9:56 a.m., Melvin Combs, Fourth Street, reported that his $300 generator had been taken. Around 12:30 a.m., a caller reported that a man was walking down the street carrying a generator. However, police were unable to locate the man. However, since then the suspect has admitted to taking the generator and a complaint has been sought through the county attorney’s office for James Slade.

    The following information from the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office indicates drivers and/or owners whose vehicles were involved in accidents.

    April 15 – At 11:02 a.m., a non-injury accident was reported on Poindexter Road. Bradley McFarland was traveling on Poindexter Road when he swerved to miss an oncoming vehicle and overcorrected causing him to exit the road and hit an earth bank.
