    Dec. 16 -- At 12:18 p.m., police were called to 104 E. Mill St. where a burglary had occurred. The resident was able to get back with police on Jan. 4 and provide a list of items taken during a Dec. 16 burglary and a second one on Dec. 19.

    Traffic Cases
    Jan. 2 -- At 9:17 p.m., a non-injury accident occurred on Salem Pike about five miles east of town. Brandon Morris of Ky 36 East entered a curve on the road. When he exited the curve, the steering of the car failed, due to mechanical failure, and he collided with a utility pole.

    Traffic Cases
    Dec. 25 -- At 1:20 p.m., a non-injury accident happened on Old Lair Road two miles south of the city limits. Cynthia Doolin of Rice Road got off the shoulder on the road. According to Doolin, the car began to fish tail, ran into a ditch and ended up on its side.
    Jan. 2 -- At 8:05 a.m., a non-injury accident occurred on Ky. 36 East about four miles east of Cynthiana. Black ice sent a car driven by Jarrod Martin, of Indian Woods Trail, spinning off Ky. 36 into a ditch line.

    Case reports
    Dec. 5 -- At 1:33 p.m., Barbara Renaker, Cynthiana, reported that her purse was taken from the inside of her unlocked vehicle while it was parked at the Dollar General Store. The purse contained $1,000 in cash and various credit cards.
    Dec. 5 -- At 5:49 p.m., police were called to Harrison Memorial Hospital for a custody dispute of a newborn. The child was to remain at the hospital until the Paris social worker could be present.
