  • Cynthiana Police Department

    Case reports
    Aug. 6 – At 2:48 p.m., Clayton Griess, U.S.27, reported that his Winchester rifle was on the wall at Bell’s Sporting Goods and that it had been stolen from him over two years ago. Police traced the rifle and could not establish that Griess had owned the gun. The investigation is continuing with ATF involved in a trace to identify who the owners of the gun have been in recent years.

    Traffic Cases
    The following information from the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office indicates drivers and/or owners whose vehicles were involved in accidents.
    Aug. 22 – At 4:54 p.m., a non-injury accident was reported on Old Lair Road. Terry Barnes was attempting to back his vehicle into a driveway and in doing so struck a parked car owned by Barbara Schweitzer.

    Aug. 14 – At 8:03 a.m., an injury accident was reported on KY 32. Katelynn Himes was traveling on KY 32 when she lost control of her vehicle and struck a farm fence.
    Aug. 9 – At 2:55 p.m., an injury accident was reported on US 62. Chase Crawford was traveling on US 62 when his car dropped off the road causing him to over correct and driving over an embankment and overturning.

    Case reports
    July 28 – At 7:58 p.m., Jennifer Perraut, Oddville Avenue, reported that she was receiving harassing text messages.
    July 31 – At 12:01 p.m., Seth Smith of Walmart security reported that he approached an individual inside the store who was allegedly trying to steal items. He ran from the store leaving his pregnant girlfriend behind. A complaint was pursued with the county attorney’s office for Matthew Eubanks. Justin Foreman was arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking.
