  • Harrison County Sheriff's Department

    July 23 -- At 3 p.m., a non-injury accident occurred on Boyers Chapel Road 10 miles west of Cynthiana. Donna E. Pitonack of Boyers Chapel Road, Sadieville, was traveling east. Upon approach to a narrow bridge, she saw a vehicle driven by Jimalee R. Fitzpatrick of Vine St., Sadieville, on the bridge and tried to stop but was unable to and the two vehicles collided.

    Case reports
    Aug. 1 -- At 9:36 a.m., police were called to Leawood Drive for a death investigation.
    July 28 -- At 1:41 p.m., Scott Osborne reported property damage at 201 Bridge St. from a shuttle bus that had pulled into the lot. Osborne told police that the bus ran over a streamer that was attached to the chimney. The chimney was damaged.
    Aug. 1 -- At 3:34 p.m., Kevin Wiglesworth, 216 N. Miller St., reported that a confederate flag that was attached to his residence had been set on fire.

  • Cynthiana Police Department

    Case reports
    July 16 -- At 3:59 p.m., Michael Taylor, 108 Fairway Drive, reported that a cell phone had been taken by Casey Trapp. He also reported that the phone was at Cynthiana Pawn Shop. Police went to the pawn shop and found that the phone was purchased by Trapp and that Taylor was providing the service for the phone. The case was marked closed, unfounded.
    July 17 -- At 10:42 a.m., Vickie Shackleford, 153 Cherokee Drive, reported that she is being harassed by Angela Clem and it has been going on for months.

  • Harrison County Sheriff's Department

    July 24 -- At 6:17 p.m. a non-injury accident occurred on Poindexter Road five miles north of Cynthiana.  William G. White, 64, 132 Mann Road, Mt. Olivet, Ky., was driving east on Poindexter Road. Jorge L. Castillo of Ky. Hwy. 1743 was driving in the opposite direction. White’s vehicle side-swiped Castillo’s vehicle. White had a suspended license and was arrested on a warrant stemming from a previous traffic case.

    July 20 -- At 7:17 p.m., a non-injury accident occurred on Robinson Road eight miles north of Cynthiana. Jameson B. Buckler of Kings Lane was traveling toward Ky. Hwy. 1054 South on Robinson Road when he lost control of the vehicle coming out of a curve and left the roadway, striking some bushes and a concrete pole.


    Case reports
    June 17 -- At 11:51 p.m., Karen Adams, 455 W. Pleasant St., reported that her car had been egged. Police located a second vehicle that had been egged on Second Street.
    June 22 -- At 2:48 p.m., a report was made that a 26-year-old man was sending text messages that were of a sexual content to a 12-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl. Police questioned the man. No charges have been filed.
    June 24 -- At 4:44 p.m., Tracey Powell, 204 Second St., reported that her son’s bicycle was stolen from her home.
