    Traffic Cases
    May 19 -- At 4.35 p.m. a non-injury accident occurred on U.S. 27 South approximately four miles outside Cynthiana. A car driven by Garrett Stovall of Old Lair Road collided with the rear end of a vehicle driven by Rodney Sosbe of Paris. Sosbe had slowed down after cars in front of him slowed due to a dog in the road. Stovall tried to avoid Sosbe’s vehicle, but was unable to do so.

    Traffic Cases
    May 11 -- At 2:10 p.m., an injury accident occurred on Ky 36 West eight miles from the Cynthiana city limits. Richie Hafer, a driver for Mark Sadler Trucking, reported that he was traveling west on Ky. 36 when a passenger car coming in the opposite direction crossed the center line and crowded him off the road. The tractor axles dropped off the side of the road, then turned over in the ditch line.

    Case reports
    May 1 -- At 10:20 a.m., William M. Derrickson, Paris, reported that while he was working on a 2004-05 Ford Explorer he removed two catalytic converters. The converters were placed in the back of the vehicle while he was removing the transmission. The vehicle was locked and when he went back, the converters were missing.
    May 2 -- Police were advised of a missing juvenile and her suspected whereabouts. Police searched at residence on Mill Street. The female was reported to have returned home.

  • Harrison County Sheriff's Department

    April 25 -- At 9:30 p.m., a non-injury accident five miles west of Cynthiana on Ky. 1054 South involved Randy Switzer of Ky 1054 and Lucas Pope of Ky. 36 West. They were driving in opposite directions and clipped each other’s side mirrors. Pope did not stop at the time of the accident, but the other driver followed Pope to Blake Lane, then reported the accident at the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office. Pope admitted to being involved in the accident.
