    Accident report
    Sept. 19 - at 12:52 a.m. an injury accident involving a motor scooter occurred on KY 36 about four miles outside of town. Gordon Pickett was rounding a corner when he struck a chain link fence and was thrown approximately 20 feet into a wooded area. He was airlifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center for treatment, but later died of his injuries.
    Sept. 21 - at 1:45 p.m. a non-injury accident occurred four miles outside town on Shady Nook Pike. Julie Cole swerved to miss a dog and ran into a culvert.

    Case reports
    Sept. 12 – At 5:28 p.m., Timothy Hudgins, 119 Taylor Drive, reported that an unauthorized use had been made of his debit card to make a purchase of blood pressure cuffs with the purchase being sent to Texas.
    Sept. 12 – At 11:05 p.m., police received a report of a missing person from a residence on Oddville Avenue. David Trent Hatfield was reportedly last seen at Shell Apply Mart.

    Collision Report
    Sept. 16 -- At 8:45 a.m. a non-injury accident occurred on KY 392 5.3 miles outside of town. Deborah Goheen was driving west on KY 392 when her car slid on oil in the roadway and struck small trees.
    Sept. 16 -- At 8:50 a.m. an injury accident occurred on KY 392 seven miles outside of town. Linda Henderson was traveling west on KY 392 when her car slid on a rainy and oil-slick road. She lost control of the car and it struck a tree. The driver was transported to Harrison Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained in the wreck.

    Sept. 5 – At 12 p.m., Kathy Callahan, 411 E. Pleasant St., reported that she was involved in an argument with David Perry, who destroyed her property then left the residence.
    Sept. 5 – At 12:58 p.m., Joseph D. Thomas, 104 Millcrest Ct. reported that he had taken a .410 shotgun to Huston B. Everett to keep while he was away from his home. When he returned Everett would not give the gun back.
    Sept. 5 – At 4:49 p.m., police were advised of a possible physical abuse of a child.
