    Accidents
    Aug. 30 -- At 1:08 p.m., a non-injury accident occurred on Spider Road 13.7 miles north of Cynthiana. A vehicle driven by Richard L. Ellis of Spider Road was traveling north when he dropped over a rise in the road, saw a vehicle driven by Dustin R. French, attempted to brake but struck French’s vehicle. French had seen Ellis’ vehicle coming and pulled to the side. The road was very narrow and there was limited visibility, according to the report.

    Aug. 29 -- Kevin L. Harman, 35, was arrested on a Harrison County warrant.
    Aug. 29 -- Sherri F. Thomas, 44, was cited on US Hwy. 27 South for failure to issue insurance card.
    Aug. 29 -- Nathan A. Radford, 20, was issued citations for failure to maintain insurance (non-owner) and failure to issue insurance card.
    Aug. 29 -- Stephen J. Stroub, 60, was cited on East Pleasant Street for failure to wear seat belt.

    Case reports
    Aug. 10 -- At 4:06 p.m., police were called to Walmart regarding a possible shoplifter. Seth Smith of Walmart loss prevention, Billy G. Combs  Jr., entered the store and took two Streetfighter DVDs into the restroom and removed the containers. Total cost of the DVDs was $9.96. Combs was arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking under $500, shoplifting.

    Accidents
    Aug. 21 -- At 7:25 p.m. a non-injury accident occurred on Edgewater Road South six miles south of Cynthiana. Robert J. Sparks of Michaels Drive, Alexandria, was driving west when he said an oncoming car forced him off the road. Evidence on scene indicated that Sparks’ vehicle left the right side of the roadway; Sparks over-corrected,  the vehicle crossed the road and left the road on the left side, then struck a wire fence and several wooden fence posts.

    Aug. 5 -- At 2:17 p.m., Lyle K. Fryman, 205 Hinkston Ave., reported that his Pollen weed trimmer was taken from his truck.
    Aug. 5 -- At 2:18 p.m., police were called to a Main Street apartment where William Whitis reported that some medications had been taken.
