    Case reports

    Jan. 20 – At 3:35 p.m., Donna Evans reported that she followed a truck down the hill from the high school and a book bag fell from the truck. Evans ran over the bag, which damaged her 2007 Toyota Corolla.

    Jan. 20 – At  7:30 p.m., police were called to the Food Lion parking lot where two people had allegedly been in an argument about custody of their child. According to the report, the incident began at Harrison Square.

    Jan. 22 -- Roger A. Lewis, 22, was cited for having no operator’s license and speeding on Pleasant Street.

    Jan. 22 -- Marcelo Torres, 40, was arrested on Walnut Street and charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place and second degree criminal trespass.

    Jan. 23 -- Alison E. Armstrong, 23, was cited on U.S. 27 South for speeding.

    Jan. 23 -- Jonathan W. Moore, 34, was cited on U.S. 27 South for speeding and failure of owner to maintain required insurance.

    Jan. 3 – At 7:30 p.m., it was reported that Mike Mitchell had been dragged about 50 feet by a vehicle driven by Holly Harding. Mitchell was treated and released from Harrison Memorial Hospital.

    Jan. 5 – At 6:41 p.m., Christina Rogers of Edwardo’s reported that a man and woman came in and ate from the buffet. When his check was declined, he said he would be back with the cash to make good on the check. At the time of the report he had not returned. However, it was later noted that the check had been paid.
