  • Harrison County Sheriff's Department

    Sept. 5 – At 4:20 p.m., an injury accident was reported on US 62. Kevin Dierckens and Kristin Harrington were traveling on US 62 when they slowed down to allow a vehicle to turn. While slowing down Harrington was struck in the rear by Jasmine Franciso, causing Harrington to hit Dierckerson.
    Sept. 5 – At 6:21 p.m., a non-injury accident was reported on Pike St. Jessica Tumey was parked near the courthouse and was struck by an unknown vehicle.

    Aug. 14 – At 9:15 p.m., Mike Mattox reported that his daughter is being harassed with text messages.
    Aug. 15 – At 11:40 p.m., Dana Creech, Leawood Drive, reported that someone removed prescription medications from her purse that was locked in the medicine room at Shady Lawn.
    Aug. 15 – At 3:02 a.m., Jacob A. Dale, Pleasant Street, reported that his roommate set his belongings outside their apartment without his knowledge and that a laptop computer, Compaq pocket PC and 15 DVDs were stolen.

    Traffic Cases
    The following information from the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office indicates drivers and/or owners whose vehicles were involved in accidents.

    Aug 18 – At 10:20 p.m., a non-injury accident was reported on KY 1032. A vehicle owned by Lavonne Lyons was parked near KY 1032 and was hit by an unknown driver.
    Aug. 20 – At 4:22 p.m., a non-injury accident was reported on US 62. Deborah Barnett was backing out of a parking lot and struck a parked car owned by Ethan Prows.

  • Cynthiana Police Department

    Case reports
    Aug. 6 – At 2:48 p.m., Clayton Griess, U.S.27, reported that his Winchester rifle was on the wall at Bell’s Sporting Goods and that it had been stolen from him over two years ago. Police traced the rifle and could not establish that Griess had owned the gun. The investigation is continuing with ATF involved in a trace to identify who the owners of the gun have been in recent years.

    Aug. 22 – At 4:54 p.m., a non-injury accident was reported on Old Lair Road. Terry Barnes was attempting to back his vehicle into a driveway and in doing so struck a parked car owned by Barbara Schweitzer.
