    Case reports
    Oct. 19 -- At 1:53 p.m., police responded to Main Fitness where towels and laundry baskets were taken from the center. The theft was recorded by surveillance cameras. Police stopped the vehicle suspected in the incident. Britney Northcutt allegedly admitted to police that she had taken the items and returned them to the owners. She was cited for theft by unlawful taking under $500.

    Oct. 27--Dep. Nathan Olin was told by James Chappell that he, not Alexis Chappell, was driving during an accident that occurred on Oct. 20 on KY 32 West. The original report stated Alexis Chappell was driving when their vehicle was run off the road by a pickup truck headed in the opposite direction.

    Oct. 30 -- Rhandi R. Courtney, 22, was arrested on two Harrison County warrants.

    Traffic Cases
    Oct. 19--Sheriff Shain Stephens worked a single-vehicle accident 10 miles east of Cynthiana on U.S. 62 West.  Liecheng Sun was trying to turn left, misjudged a curve, over-corrected, hit a mailbox belonging to Chris Johnson, over-corrected to the right, and swiped a tree. The vehicle overturned onto its passenger side. The driver was not injured.

    CYNTHIANA POLICE DEPARTMENT
    Case reports
    Oct. 12 -- At 10:58 a.m., police received numerous calls regarding a driver under 16 driving a motor vehicle. They made the traffic stop and the juvenile driver and a passenger admitted that they had recently smoked marijuana. Police found a set a scales, large amount of cash, two cell phones and a handgun in the vehicle. Police took the juvenile into custody and charged him with possession of drug parpahernalia and carrying a concealed weapon.
