The Cynthiana Police Department is pressing burglary charges after Whitney Simpson, 29, allegedly confessed to entering the Subway location in Harrison Square and taking money.
Police responded to the restaurant Thursday morning at 8:25 a.m., when a Subway employee opening the store noticed the door was unlocked and money was missing.
An employee of Subway, Simpson allegedly entered the business with a key, said Ptl. David Powers.
According to Powers, Simpson has returned $117 of the $400 stolen.
