The rate of fatalities on Kentucky’s roadways is increasing in 2015, according to preliminary numbers from the Kentucky Office of Highway Safety (KOHS) and Kentucky State Police (KSP). There were 549 fatalities as of Oct. 6 – 58 more than at the same time last year.
“With only three months are left in the year, we are encouraging drivers to take responsibility for their driving behaviors,” said KSP Sgt. Michael Webb. “By combining enforcement with public awareness, we hope to stop this upward trend in fatalities,”
