    DEAN’S LIST
    Midway University announces the students who have been named to its Dean’s list for the 2015 fall semester. In order to be named to the list, a student must be classified as full time and obtain a 3.60 grade point average for the semester.
    Cynthiana students named were: Meliah Carrel, Niesha Commodore, Allison Cordray, and Kaitlin Johnson.

  • Time for college-bound seniors to fill out the FAFSA

    High school seniors planning to attend college or technical school this fall should fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, also called the FAFSA, as soon as possible, according to the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA).

  • Academic briefs

    On May 16, 2015, Chad Broaddus, ;ead minister of Indian Creek Christian Church, graduated with the Doctor of Ministry degree from Lincoln Christian University in Lincoln, Illinois.  
    Broaddus has served as ICCC’s minister for the last eight years along with his wife, Allison, and son, Alex, as part of their church family.  
    His doctoral emphasis was in preaching and his research focused on sermon-based small groups in the local church.

  • Congressman Barr holds Sixth Congressional District Youth Ambassador Program

    Congressman Andy Barr held the first of this academic year’s Youth Ambassador Program events on November 21st at the University of Kentucky. Over 100 juniors and seniors were accepted into the program, including two students from Harrison County.
    Participants from Harrison County in this year’s program include: Emma Darnell, junior; and Jared Thomas, senior.
    This session focused on business and featured a panel discussion and several breakout small groups with local business leaders.
