  • MCTC-LVC student named KAACE Student of the Year

    Lois Martin, a freshman, attending college at MCTC- Licking Valley Campus, has been named the 2012 Kentucky Association for Adult and Continuing Education (KAACE) Student of the Year.
    Martin was selected from the 9,469 individuals who earned their General Educational Development (GED) Diploma in 2012. Her selection was based on achievement, commitment, and dedication to education.

    EKU GRADUATES
    Eastern Kentucky University recognized graduates at the conclusion of the Fall 2012 semester. The graduates were honored at commencement ceremonies on Dec. 15.

  • Shoemaker follows a dream with an education and support from MCTC-Living Valley Campus

    George Shoemaker is following a dream. Some people might be inclined to question his decision, but now, thanks to an education and support at MCTC-Licking Valley Campus, he can realize his future potential – being a high school math or history teacher.
    Shoemaker left a lucrative job in Birmingham, Ala., where he made copper coils for electric motors for 17 years.
    He and his family of four moved to Cynthiana after his wife was offered a position as an investigator for the public defender’s office.

  • Middle and high school KMEA All-State Chorus

    Approximately 1,200 vocalists across the state competed for slots in the Kentucky Music Educators Association’s 2013 High School All-State Choirs. Students in grades 10-12 auditioned in quartets – all performing the same piece, sung a cappella; they also had to sight-sing.
