    WILLIAMSON
    U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Ryan A. Williamson graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
    The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
    Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

    Throughout an athletic administrator career that lasted 23 years and a teacher career that started in 1987, Faye Thornton was dedicated to providing the best opportunities and experiences to athletes in multiple school districts.
    The first 13½ years at Harrison County with the last nine years being with Pendleton County at Sharp Middle School. And while she touched hundreds of lives in the area, her influence has been felt much farther than that.

    On Sunday, May 7, the Harrison County Middle and High School bands will present their annual spring concert in the high school auditorium beginning at 2 p.m.  
    “We love the spring concert,” said band director John Merz, “because we get to have a bit more fun with the music we play.”  
    The middle school band has been working on some fun tunes that attendees are sure to recognize, such as Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” and music from “Star Wars.”
