Local music students to perform in All-State Chorus

Junior Evan Clifford, sophomore John King and sophomore Devon Williams, students at Harrison County High School, will perform in the Kentucky Music Educators Association All-State Chorus. The concert will take place at the Kentucky Center in Louisville, Friday, Feb. 10, as part of the 2012 Kentucky Music Educators Association Professional Development Conference.

Unite To Read project a success

“Unite to Read” is a statewide literacy project designed by members of the Kentucky Career and Technical Student Organizations. The campaign focused on literacy awareness in all grades as well as in the community. This year’s theme was Nutrition. The local chapters of the Art Club, Book Club, FBLA, FCCLA, FFA, Skills USA, MVs and STLP from Harrison County Area Technology Center and High School participated in the statewide project on Oct. 27.
