Juston Pate, Maysville Community and Technical College Chief Academic Officer, has released the Dean’s List and the President’s Honors list for full and part-time students for the Fall 2011 semester.  MCTC offers classes on the Maysville campus, Licking Valley campus-Cynthiana, Rowan campus-Morehead, the Paris Extension, the Mt. Sterling Extension as well as through distance learning and on-line classes.

BCTC DEAN’S LIST
Bluegrass Community & Technical College has recognized the following students from Harrison County who have achieved Dean’s List honors for the 2011 Fall Semester. 
The college recognizes academic excellence by naming to the Dean’s List full-time students who have earned an overall semester grade point average of 3.5 or better in courses numbered 100 or above.
BCTC’s Dean’s List honorees for fall 2011 are:

Air Force Airman Megan L. Grose graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
Grose completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Grose is the daughter of Leah Walker and Larry Grose, both of Cynthiana.

Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) is sponsoring its annual Super Sunday event on Feb. 12 with the System Office and each of its 16 colleges partnering with African-American churches in their communities to host college information fairs for prospective college students and their families.
Super Sunday is a statewide initiative intended to increase the college-going rate of students of color. The college fairs are free and open to everyone.
