    Western Kentucky University forensics team members traveled to Ypsilanti, Mich., to take part in two tournaments the weekend of Feb. 1-2.
    WKU won the team sweepstakes championships for both tournaments hosted by Eastern Michigan University. Additionally, all members of the WKU team at EMU advanced to final round.

    Midway College announces the students who have been named to the Fall 2013 Dean’s List recipients. In order to be named to the Dean’s List, a student must be classified as full time and must have achieved a minimum grade point average of 3.60 for the semester.
    Cynthiana students were: Alissa D Barry, Meliah   Carrel, Teresa   Hitch, and Laken MacHelle Reffett.

    Air Force Airman 1st Class Joshua RJ Boggs graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
    Boggs completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
    Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
