Bobby and Shawna Dailey of Cynthiana, and Bobby and Trena Frederick of Morehead, Ky., announce the graduation of their son, Bobby M. Frederick III from the University of California Los Angeles.
After completing his Bachelor of Arts in Architecture at University of Kentucky, Frederick was accepted into the Architecture and Urban Design graduate program at UCLA. In 2010 he received a Welton-Becket Fellowship for architectural design excellence. He earned his Masters of Architecture from UCLA during the June 2012 commencement exercise.

Jennifer Hatfield, Ph.D., who began her teaching career in 2003 at Harrison County High School, was recently named Health Educator-College/University Teacher of the Year for going above and beyond her regular classroom duties.
Hatfield is now assistant professor of wellness at Union College.
The award, presented by the Kentucky Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance, is given to a current professor and association member who teaches health classes in a university or college setting.

The arraignment for Brenda Kay Brown, who was indicted Thursday, Nov. 8, in Harrison Circuit Court has been continued to Dec. 18.
Brown, estranged wife of former Cynthiana mayor and businessman Jim Brown, appeared before Judge Jay Delaney Tuesday morning without an attorney.
Brown asked that an attorney be appointed and filed an affidavit of indigency/request for counsel.
