  • KCTCS joins national emergency and disaster group

    When a crisis strikes on campus, it could require a response many colleges and universities might not be equipped to handle alone. This is not limited to small schools. Higher education institutions such as Harvard University, University of Oregon, University of Virginia and Virginia Tech have all signed the National Intercollegiate Mutual Aid Agreement (NIMAA). Now, the Kentucky Community and Technical College System has joined this impressive group. As of last summer, 26 institutions of higher ed had signed on to help each other during a crisis.

  • Georgetown Project Linus Make-a-Blanket Day set to help children in need

    The North Central Kentucky Chapter of Project Linus will kick-off a new year of helping children in need with a Project Linus Make-A-Blanket Day on Feb. 18.
    Area quilters of all skill levels are invited to participate in the event, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Georgetown.

    AND TECHNICAL COLLEGE
    Russ Ward, Maysville Community and Technical College’s interim chief academic officer, has released the Dean’s list and the President’s Honors list for full and part-time students for the fall 2016 semester.
    MCTC offers associate degrees, diplomas and certificates in nearly 30 programs of study with classes offered on the Licking Valley Campus in Cynthiana, the Maysville Campus in Mason County, the Montgomery Campus in Mt. Sterling and the Rowan Campus in Morehead as well as online.
