  • HCHS band members participate in EKU Clinic

The late February snow forced the annual Eastern Kentucky University Band Clinic to be rescheduled to the first weekend in May.
The spring weather allowed the 16 participating Harrison County High School band students to truly experience the “Campus Beautiful,” but the real beauty was in the music shared.
Band members Katie Smith, Draven Florence, Christopher Young, Cameron Blankenship, and Jason Dye were selected to perform with the “Maroon” Honor Band, which was conducted by HCHS Alumnus Charles M. Smith.

    Exhilarating, Breathtaking,
With eyes that remind you of the stars.
    My gray shy,
    Beautiful without wanting to be.
Quiet nature but a bright presence.
    Amazing and unforgettable,
The ground that I stand upon.
    My infinity, My forever,
    My universe, My Love.
