  • Stephen Collins Foster Music Camp
  • Annual Safety Day

    The NorthEast and SouthWest Family Resource Center, Community Health Partnership, Harrison County Extension Office, and the Farm Bureau Federation sponsored a fourth-grade Safety Day at the 4-H Grounds on Friday, Sept. 15. Students were given important safety tips concerning farm equipment, water safety, how to survive if your home is on fire, how to use a fire extinguisher, how to adjust with impaired vision and more.

  • Nine students from Harrison County named Sen. Jeff Green Scholars

    Nine 2017 graduates of Harrison County High School have been named Senator Jeff Green Scholars by the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA). To earn this honor, a student must have a 4.0 grade point average each year of high school and at least a 28 composite on the ACT.
    Local scholars are Kevin Barnett, Olivia Eckert, Rachel Eckert, Cody Edwards, Reagan Gorman, Jacob Jones, Francis Lanza, Will Marsh and Kyler Williams.

    The Kentucky Highway Industries (KHI) Scholarship Committee, chaired by Pat Judd, Gaddie-Shamrock, LLC, has announced their 2017 Scholarship Award recipients. The total allocation will be distributed to the students during the 2017-18 school year. Since 1998, $738,000 has been awarded to deserving students to help them achieve their education goals.
    Sophomore Tori Watkins will receive a $2,500 scholarship. Watkins attends Northern Kentucky University and pursuing a degree in informatics/broadcasting/media. She is the daughter of Diana Watkins.
