  • Northside Elementary Drama Club to present “Seussical the Musical”

    Seussical the Musical will be presented by the Northside Elementary Drama Club on April 20 at 6 p.m. This is a dinner theater performance. Tickets will be on sale beginning April 9 and will end on April 16. Tickets are $5. A second performance will be held on Saturday, April 21 at 11 a.m. Tickets on Saturday will be sold at the door for $1 each.

  • Annual Starry Night is April 28 at HCHS

    The Harrison County School District will host the 2018 version of Starry Night...An Arts Experience, on Saturday, April 28.
    The program, featuring visual and performing arts exhibitions from children in grades K-12, will begin at 7 p.m. and will take place in the Harrison County High School auditorium.
    There is no admission charge for the exhibition.

  • HCHS FFA greenhouse opens Saturday

    The Harrison County High School greenhouse, sponsored and managed by the local FFA chapter, will be open for business on Saturday, April 14, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
    “Almost all of the plants we have this year will be annuals,” said FFA sponser Savannah Robin. “We have a much wider variety of flowers this year, than we’ve had in years past. The students wanted to expand what we offer and they have done a good job of doing that.”

  • HCMS Kentucky Music Educator’s Concert Band Assessment

    The 7th and 8th Grade Harrison County Middle School Band under the Direction of Julie Lucky performed at the Kentucky Music Educator’s Concert Band Assessment on March 22 at Frederick Douglass High School in Lexington Ky. This 115 member ensemble from District 7 performed Autumn Reflections by Steve Hodges and The Adventure Begins by Matt Conaway. Three KMEA adjudicators scored their performance giving the ensemble straight Distinguished Ratings. Lucky proudly announces that only 17 middle school ensembles out of 44 scored straight Distinguished Ratings in our district.

  • HCHS Site Based Council to hold parent elections

    Starting Monday, April 9, 2018, Harrison County High School will be accepting nominations for Site Based Decision Making Council Parent Members for the 2018-2019 school year. To be eligible to serve as a SBDMC Parent Member, you must be a parent of a student at HCHS for the school year 2018-2019.
