State Auditor Adam Edelen has released the audit of the 2011 financial statement of Harrison County Sheriff Bruce Hampton. State law required the auditor to annually audit the accounts of each county sheriff. In compliance with this law, the auditor issues two sheriff’s reports each year: one reporting on the audit of the sheriff’s tax account and the other reporting on the audit of the fee account used to operate the office.

The Planning Commission announces the addition of two interns, Julie Whalen and Jordan Miller. Both students will be completing the internship for credit hours at the University of Kentucky.
Miller’s primary responsibility will be focused on revitalizing the commercial districts and providing assistance to the Economic Development Program for business retention, expansion and recruitment. He will assist in enhancing marketing materials while making recommendations on commercial district overlays, mixed use zoning districts and future growth patterns.

Randy D. Doyle, Cynthiana, a Modern Woodmen of America representative, has attained the Fraternal Insurance Counsellor (FIC) designation.
The FIC titles is an educational designation that can be earned by career life insurance representatives associated with fraternal insurance societies. Representatives devote more than one year to meet the examination and career development criteria set by the Fraternal Field Managers Association.

Dan Mongiardo, M.D., Otolaryngologist (Ears, Nose and Throat specialist) joins the Harrison Memorial Hospital (HMH) Specialty Clinic in association with Dr. Victor Lawson. Otolaryngology or ENT  (ear, nose, and throat) is the branch of medicine and surgery that specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the head and neck. His practice will include both adult and pediatric medicine and surgical services in ears, nose and throat disorders.
