• Local circuit court clerk participates in spring conference in Frankfort

    Harrison County Circuit Court Clerk Teresa Furnish participated in the 2016 Circuit Court Clerks Spring Conference on April 19-20 in Frankfort.
    The Administrative Office of the Courts and the Kentucky Association of Circuit Court Clerks provided the education program for the state’s circuit court clerks. The Kentucky Association of Counties hosted the event at its headquarters.

The low-dose CT scan has been proven to save lives by discovering lung cancer in its earliest stages before symptoms occur.

  • TMMK recognizes top volunteers for 2015

    Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky, Inc. (TMMK) is recognizing its top volunteers for 2015, including Kathy Combs, Sadieville, Ky. resident, who took home the company’s “Volunteer of the Year” award.
    Collectively, the group of 11 Central Kentucky do-gooders clocked in over 5,600 service hours last year while raising funds and awareness for causes, volunteering at local schools and pitching in to help the organizations that help those in need.

  • New Farmers’ Market to open in Millersburg this weekend

    The public is invited to attend the opening day at the new Millersburg Farmers’ Market on Friday May 27 at 4 p.m. The market will be selling locally grown produce and fruits from farmers that live in Nicholas, Harrison and Bourbon counties. The market will operate each Friday afternoon from 4 to 7 p.m. In the event of inclement weather the market will still be held, but inside the old city hall building. The market will be located on Fifth Street at the city park’s side gate.

  • Family Care Associates adds two new providers to staff

    Family Care Associates is announces the addition two Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs), Tara Ramsey Applegate and Dana Wyatt, to the staff. Both joined Dr. Greg Cooper, Dr. Henry Norfleet, Dr. Brian Mulberry, Kathy Hammond, APRN, and Crista Strawzell Crowdy, PA-C, in 2016. Family Care Associates has two office locations, in Cynthiana and in Falmouth. Applegate will be based in the Cynthiana office, and Wyatt will be based in the Falmouth office.

    Kentucky Derby revelers are celebrating the most exciting two  minutes in sports, and Kentucky Proud is there with farm-fresh local foods and award-winning Kentucky wines.
