  • HMH Auxiliary holds spring volunteer luncheon, honors program April 22

    The Harrison Memorial Hospital (HMH) Auxiliary held its annual Spring volunteer luncheon on Tuesday, April 22 with 30 members attending. The featured guest speaker was Dr. Shane Gainey, HMH Family Medicine Physician. He discussed the issues involved with fatigue and how to properly diagnose it.

    Dr. Angela Fultz of Maysville Community and Technical College (MCTC) has been elected to fill a vacated faculty position on the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) Board of Regents.

  • HMH ranked 8th in Best Places to Work in Kentucky

    Harrison Memorial Hospital (HMH) was recognized and honored at the Best Places to Work in Kentucky Tenth Annual Awards Dinner on April 24 at the Lexington Convention Center. The final rankings were announced at the event, and HMH ranked number eight out of 40 in the medium business category.

  • Hospice of the Bluegrass receives prestigious award

    For the second year in a row, Hospice of the Bluegrass – Cynthiana has been named a 2014 Hospice Honors recipient, a prestigious award recognizing hospices providing the best patient care as rated by the patient’s caregiver.
    Established by Deyta, this prestigious annual honor recognizes hospices that continuously provide the highest level of satisfaction through their care as measured from the caregiver’s point of view.

  • Harrison Memorial Hospital offers new online service for customers

    On April 8, Harrison Memorial Hospital unveiled its interactive website portal called HMHmyhealth! This new resource, found on our HMH website, will empower patients and families to take a more active role in their health care by providing easy, secure access to their very own health information.    
    This health information will include laboratory and radiology results, discharge medications, a list of patient allergies, demographic information, histories of your medical visits, discharge/aftercare instructions and more.    

  • Allran joins the HMH Physician Group

    Harrison Memorial Hospital announces that Dr. Charles Allran has joined the HMH Physician Group and will begin serving patients at HMH on a full-time basis.
    With more than 12 years of surgical experience, Allran is a general surgeon with particular interests in disorders of breast and abdomen, skin lesions, laparoscopic procedures and gastrointestinal endoscopy. He, along with Dr. Karl Schulstad and Dr. Brady Reid, will provide general surgical services to our patients.

  • HMH Auxiliary donates funds to purchase equipment for patients

    The Harrison Memorial Hospital (HMH) Auxiliary completed 2013 by raising $24,000 for Harrison Memorial Hospital.
    The HMH Auxiliary Gift Shop made a profit of nearly $11,000 and fundraising events sponsored by the HMH Auxiliary raised close to $13,000. All proceeds go directly to HMH for the patients from the community.
    In February, the HMH Auxiliary board of directors approved funds to purchase two beds with Tempur-Pedic mattresses for the HMH medical/surgical department.
