They manned anti-aircraft guns at Pearl Harbor, slogged ashore under devastating fire at Normandy and fought their way inch-by-inch up Mount Suribachi on Iwo Jima, then modestly returned home to resume their civilian lives as farmers and teachers.
Today, veterans fortunate enough to have survived World War II’s carnage are in their 80s or 90s. Many will never get a chance to see the memorial their grateful nation erected in 2004 to honor them, unless folks like us help.

Michael Ingram earned his Private pilot certificate on Sept. 29, 2011. To obtain his certificate, Ingram passed an oral and a flight exam with a Federal Aviation Administration designated flight examiner. Ingram completed his flight training at Sporty’s Academy, located at the Clermont County Airport.
With his Private pilot certificate, Michael is able to carry passengers in favorable weather conditions. The aircraft that he used for his flight training can carry four people and cruises at nearly 140 miles per hour.  

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Curves continues to work to raise awareness in women about the life-saving importance of risk management, early detection and treatment.  Throughout the month, Curves of Cynthiana on U.S. 27 South, including those listed below, are waiving the joining fee for new members who show proof of a mammogram within the past year or make a $25 donation to breast cancer research.
