  • Bourbon County Heart Walk rescheduled for May 19

    Due to rain, the Heart Walk sponsored by Bourbon Community Hospital was cancelled and has been rescheduled for May 19.   
    The walk will begin on the hospital campus at 9:30 a.m. on Clinic Drive in Paris and proceed down East Main Street, past the courthouse, down High Street, turning at the YMCA, going up Main Street to the courthouse, back down Main Street to the YMCA, up one block to Pleasant Street, back to East Main Street and ending on Clinic Drive.  
    The walk will be approximately three miles long.

  • HMH ranked 10th in Best Places to Work in Kentucky

    Harrison Memorial Hospital (HMH) was recognized and honored at the Best Places to Work in Kentucky Eighth annual Awards Dinner on April 19 at the Galt House in Louisville, Ky. The final rankings were announced at the event, and HMH ranked number 10 out of 37 in the large business category section.
    “This award is a wonderful honor for HMH,” says Dr. Frank McKemie, Chairman of HMH Board of Directors. “It is a testimony to the hard work and dedication of all our hospital employees.”

    Town and Village School of Dance’s honor company and apprentices had another successful competition season.  
    The honor company is comprised of Town and Village students who are chosen each year through an audition process and faculty evaluation.  
    Apprentices are younger dancers, chosen in the same manner, who are beginning to learn about being in honor company.

  • Curves’ food drive brings in 1,307 pounds for local Food Pantry

    Curves of Cynthiana announced that the 2012 14th annual food drive brought in 1,307 pounds of nonperishable food items, which will benefit the Cynthiana-Harrison County Food Bank.
    Worldwide, Curves members have donated more than 66 million pounds of food since 2004.
