  • Hampton’s in at family business

    Cynthiana son Brent Hampton has made a name for himself -- from his glory days on the Hilltop, playing football and baseball, to playing college football at Eastern Kentucky University and on to excellence as a college basketball official.
    Now, Hampton, 38, is coming back to his hometown and the family business with experience and a passion for Cynthiana and Harrison County.
    Hampton will be the newest addition to the Palmer Hampton Agency where he will be an insurance producer/agent.

  • Driver improvement course for seniors to feature safety, new technology tips

    The Harrison County Homemakers in conjunction with AAA auto club and the Kentucky State Government is presenting the annual program open to all drivers in Kentucky 55 and over.
    This is a four+ hour driver improvement course targeted for seniors. Kendra Wilson, a State Trooper, will present the class via a DVD involving real life situations. This class will include, but will not be limited to the following:
    • Driving tips.
    • Up to date driving techniques.

Total assets were $856.5 million as of March 31, 2015 compared to $782.7 million as of March 31, 2014 reflecting growth of 9.4 percent. Year to date net income was $1.52 million for the period ended March 31, 2015 compared to $1.77 million for the period ending March 31, 2014.

    Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Harrison County economy in the first quarter of 2015 with 19 reported sales totaling $1,857,499. Sales continue to be a driving force in Harrison County economy.

  • HMH ranked 5th in Best Places to Work in Kentucky

    Harrison Memorial Hospital (HMH) was recognized and honored at the Best Places to Work in Kentucky 11th annual Awards Dinner on April 14 at the Lexington Heritage Hall. The final rankings were announced at the event, and HMH ranked fifth out of 36 in the medium business category. This is the highest HMH  has ranked in the five years of participating in the awards program.
