Griffith Tavern, US 62 West, before it was razed in 2011. The property is owned and managed by The Nature Conservancy, the University of Kentucky and the Kentucky State Nature Preserve Commission. The 745-acre farm is also known as Billy Griffiths old place or Silver Lake Place (where allegedly a bottomless lake was located). The Tavern was built in 1827.
