    Central Christian Church will be hosting a Back to School event on Sunday, Aug. 7 and will be giving school supplies to community children grades K-12. The event will be held from 2-5 p.m. at the church.

    Sheer Magic beauty salon employees will be on hand to give free hair cuts.

    Hotdogs and chips will also be served.

    If your perennials didn’t put on their usual show this spring, it may be time to dig and divide. Perennials need space, and once they become crowded, blooms can become smaller and infrequent. Dividing the plants to create more room usually restores their vigor.
