    As fall begins, you may think using sunscreen is not as important as it was during the summer months. However, it is important to continue to protect your skin all year long. By protecting your skin, you may be able to slow the signs of aging. The one thing that we cannot fight is the natural aging process. Over time, skin changes – it may become thinner or drier. Here are some simple lifestyle changes you can make to slow the signs of aging:

  • Lexi Grace Waechtler was born to Kasey Moore and Brandon Waechtler of Cynthiana on Aug. 11, 2013 at Harrison Memorial Hospital.
    She weighed 6 lbs. 13 oz., and is welcomed by her sister, Lily Paige Waechtler.
    Maternal grandparents are Butch and Freida Moore of Cynthiana; maternal great-grandparents are the late Grace and Newt Harding of Cynthiana, Richard Hardin of Cynthiana and the late Aline Hardin.

  • Myleigh Lynn Ross was born to Megan and Michael Ross of Cynthiana on Sept. 4, 2013 at Harrison Memorial Hospital.
    She weighed 6 lbs. 13 oz., and is welcomed by her brother Rylan Ross.
    Maternal grandparents are Ershia and Rick Johnson of Cynthiana.
    Paternal grandparents are Debbie and David Ross of Cynthiana; paternal great-grandparents are Fannie Mae and B.W. Northcutt and the late Virginia and Jack Ross.

  • COURTNEY
    The descendents of James John and Will Courtney will hold their annual reunion on Saturday, Oct. 5 at the Pleasant Green Church fellowship hall. Will again have a white elephant sale. All you need to bring is a gift, family, friends and food. The potluck meal will begin at noon.

    Cynthiana Baptist Church
    Awana for children three years old up to fifth grade (must be three by Aug. 1, 2013). Children will learn Bible verses, sing songs, play games and more.
    Awana will meet Wednesday nights throughout the school year beginning Sept. 4 at Cynthiana Baptist Church from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
