  • Recently, I had a raging flare up of my chronic, terminal hypochondria.
It always hits on a Friday after regular doctors’ and dentists’ hours are over, which only increases the intensity of the flare up.
I’ve died many times from hypochondria, if only in my mind.
This recent attack came as a result of using too many new dental hygiene products at once. I had seen a commercial that warned: If you’re not whitening your teeth, you’re yellowing them.
    Sounds ominous, right?

  • THURSDAY, Nov. 8
AARP Safe Driver Program. Thursday, Nov. 8 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for those over age 55. Cost is free during the month of November for veterans and their spouses or $12 for AARP members and $14 for non-members. Program will take place in the Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library Annex. Please bring a sandwich. Drinks and chips will be provided. Pre-registration required.

  • Some years are worse than others: I remember years when it was like a siege of lady beetles, other years a few popped up here or there.
Usually they sneak their way into our homes as a noticeable chill settles in.
On sunny days they cling to the screen door on the south side of where I write.  Presently they are displayed before me.
I need not worry about them as they sun themselves; but the ones that collect indoors, well your best bet is a vacuum cleaner.

  • ODDVILLE CHRISTIAN
Shannon Bunch brought his Mountain Style Music to Oddville on Nov. 4.
Rita Moore, church pianist, assists Bunch with the presentation of “Beulah Land.”
The church board met to discuss building plans and various new programs being implemented to augment their Fall Membership Drive.
Bonnie White of Morning Glory was added to the membership by Baptism following the music program and a soup and sandwich dinner.
