    High school graduates to age 25 are invited for Rev2.0 night. They meet twice a month on the second and fourth Thursday at Rohs Opera House. Will meet Thursday, July 22 from 6:30-8 p.m. There will be games, prizes, food and fun. Childcare is provided on site. All this is free.

  • * This weekend, Friday, July 23 and Saturday, July 24, marks the 16th anniversary of the Cynthiana-Harrison County Museum. As always the museum will be open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. There is no charge for admission.

    The annual Anderson/Cummins family reunion will be on Aug. 1 at Antioch Mills Christian Church. A potluck dinner will be served around 12:30 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Bring your favorite covered dish and/or dessert.

    CLASS OF 1995

    The Harrison County High School Class of 1995 will host its 15-year reunion at the Cynthiana Country Club on Aug. 14, 2010 from 7 p.m. to midnight.

    Tickets purchased in advance are $15 for a single and $30 for a couple.

    Lillian Jade Hollon was born to Amanda Courtney and Jack Hollon III of Berry, Ky. on July 13, 2010 at Harrison Memorial Hospital. She weighed 7 lbs. 13 oz.

    • Olivia Taylor Russell

    Olivia Taylor Russell was born to Renae Russell (Smith) and Jacob Russell on May 26, 2010 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, Ky. She weighed 8 lbs. 5 oz.`

  • Potatoes, garlic and onions:  these tree vegetables are staples worldwide partly because of their versatility and partly because of their storage-ability. Late July and August is when our spring planted onions, garlic and potatoes reach maturity and are ready for harvest. If you want to harvest some new potatoes, onions or garlic before they reach maturity enjoy them at the table in short order but if you want to store them it is important to harvest them at the correct time.

    Kentucky’s Lakes. Thursday, July 22 at 6 p.m. at the Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library. Learn all about fishing Kentucky’s lakes, creeks, and streams with Bill Roberts from the Harrison County Extension Office.

    Prize Book Store. Will be open Thursday, July 22 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library.
