The turkey on the kitchen counter was freshly thawed. An open refrigerator illuminated Laura McCoy’s predicament. Long ago she had earned her reputation as a master chef, but in recent years Laura usually disappeared and passed out before her extended family sat down to enjoy the dinner she had prepared.
November is National Hospice Month and on Tuesday, Nov. 11, Hospice of the Bluegrass will host a public forum to discuss the nationally acclaimed program, The Conversation Project, which is dedicated to helping people talk about their wishes for end-of-life care long before it is needed.
