    CHS CLASS OF 1954
    The Cynthiana High School Class of 1954 will hold their 60th year reunion on Saturday, June 28 at The Prizing House, 329 S. Church St. Social hour will be from 5-6 p.m. with a buffet dinner beginning at 6 p.m.

  • Rotary Club announces newest Paul Harris Fellow

     

    On May 22 Bill Probus, right, became the Cynthiana Rotary clubs newest Paul Harris Fellow. Pictured with Probus is Doug Price, club president. Presently 30 of the club’s 52 members are Paul Harris Fellows. The Paul Harris Fellow recognition acknowledges individuals who contribute, or who have contributions made in their name of $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.

  • Noble-Corns will wed June 22 in Berry

     

    Rose P. Noble and Michael W. Corns will be married on June 22, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the Berry Christian Church.
    Noble is the birth daughter of the late Otis A. Smith and the late Barbara E. Clair Smith of Bedford, Ky., and the adopted daughter of the late Solomon E. Clair and the late Pearl Hollon Clair of Jackson, Ky. Noble has been a resident of the Harrison County area for 29 years.
    Corns is the son of the late Edward E. Corns and Opal B. Gilkerson Corns of Paris, Ky.
    All family and friends are invited to attend.

  • Hardin-Clemons to marry June 21

     

    Ms. Michelle Whitson,  Georgetown, and Mr. Jerry Hardin, Cynthiana, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kendra Hardin, to Tyler Clemons, son of Rebecca and Kenny Clemons, Cynthiana.
    Hardin and Clemons are 2011 graduates of Harrison County High School. They will marry June 21, 2014 at Central Christian Church.

  • June wedding planned for Doughtery-Fryman

    Dr. and Mrs. Mark J. Doughtery of Lexington, announce the engagement of their daughter, Pauline Marie, to Marine Corporal Joseph W. Fryman, son of Howard W. Fryman Jr. of Cynthiana and Patricia and Mike Pasquarello of Lexington.
    Doughtery is a 2008 graduate of Henry Clay High School and received a B.A. in Communication from the University of Kentucky in 2013.

  • Woods-Dailey plan June 28 wedding

     

    Mr. and Mrs. David Woods, Cynthiana, announce the upcoming wedding of their daughter, Samantha Woods, to Kevin Dailey, son of Allen Dailey, Cynthiana, and Carol Dailey, Georgetown.
    The wedding will take place on June 28, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. at the family farm at Robinson. The farm is located close to Robinson dam. The reception will follow immediately after the wedding.
    No formal invitations are being sent. All friends and family are invited.

  • Birth of Xander Scott Wagoner

     

    Xander Scott Wagoner was born to Jacob and Jessica Wagoner of Cynthiana on Feb. 18, 2014 at Harrison Memorial Hospital.
    He weighed 7 lbs. 12 oz., and is welcomed by his sister Taylor Lukins.
    Maternal grandparents are John and Kelly Kenyon of Cynthiana; maternal great-grandparents are Grace Tolliver, Cordell Tolliver, Barbara Sheehan and John and Nancy Kenyon.
    Paternal grandparents are Stacey and Jeff Courtney and Darrin Wagoner of Cynthiana; paternal great-grandparents are Carole Wyrick and Bill Wagoner.
