Dustin Tyler Hehr and Katherine Rose Tomlin announce their upcoming marriage.
The wedding will take place on May 4, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. at the 4-H grounds, Cynthiana, in the big barn. A reception will follow the ceremony at the 4-H grounds.
Tomlin is the daughter of Garry and Linda Tomlin of Cynthiana. She is employed by Aarons Sales and Lease of Cynthiana.
Hehr is the son of Wally Hehr of Cynthiana and Karen Hehr of Lancaster. He is employed by Gmi of Georgetown.

The Harrison County Homemakers will be hosting a tea party at the local nursing homes on April 18 and 19.
April 18: Cedar Ridge Assisted Living at 11 a.m.; and Cedar Ridge Health Campus at 2 p.m.
April 19: Edgemont Healthcare at 10 a.m.; and Grand Haven Nursing Home at 2 p.m.

Last year our serviceberry was afflicted with a whimsical looking disease; the beautiful blue berries that appear in the summer looked like something from a Dr. Seuss book.  
In a good year the cedar wax wings usually flock in and eat the berries as they ripen, not so last year.  
The strange, white tubular protrusions that the berries were covered in not only looked funny but they kept the birds away, too.
