    The Forrest and Gracie Linville family reunion will be held Saturday, Nov. 20 inside the cafeteria of Northside Elementary School. Lunch will begin at noon with games and fellowship following. Bring two or more side dishes and/or desserts to share. Beverages, paper products, and a variety of meat will be provided this year. Corn hole, ladder golf, and other games are welcome.     Zachary Thomas Kiskaden was born to Crystal Purnell and Thomas Kiskaden of Cynthiana on Oct. 15, 2010 at Harrison Memorial Hospital. He weighed 8 lbs. 4 oz., and is welcomed by his sisters, Chelsea and Haley Kiskaden.
    Maternal grandparents include, Charles and Nancy Tumey of Cynthiana.
    Paternal grandparents include Brenda Hawkins of Cynthiana and Irvin Hawkins of Carlisle.

    Abigail Wright Johnson was born to Christy and Ryan Johnson of Cynthiana on Sept. 9, 2010 at St. Joseph East. She weighed 4 lbs. 11 oz., and is welcomed by her sister, Kaitlin Ross Johnson.
    Maternal grandparents are Wayne and Linda Wright of Cynthiana; maternal great-grandparents are Christine Wright and the late Gobel Wright, and the late Edward and Pauline Ison.
    Paternal grandparents are Don and Cheryl Johnson of Cynthiana; paternal great-grandparents are Charles Ross and the late Faye Ross, and Sylvia Johnson and the late Luther Johnson.

  • Main Street Gingerbread tour in Millersburg on Nov. 21

    Fall brings thoughts of falling leaves, scenic drives, hot cider and the smell of gingerbread baking.
    On Nov. 21, The Gingerbread Tour in Millersburg will provide all of that. Spend the afternoon touring some of the historic homes of Millersburg. Learn their unique history as you stroll through town on a fall afternoon.
    Showcasing seven historic homes and four churches on Main Street, visitors will learn the historical significance of these beautiful buildings in the formation of the quaint town of  Millersburg.

    Maternal grandparents are Eddie and Vicki Lucas and Barry Judy, all of Cynthiana.

    * Cynthiana Democrat, June 29, 1950 - “Fire, which started shortly before midnight, Friday, June 23, gutted five buildings on the east side of Walnut Street’s congested business area. Swept by the flames were a three-story brick furniture store, liquor dispensary, restaurants, hardware company warehouse and Disabled American Veteran’s clubroom, all of which are located beteen Bridge and Pike streets.”
