    Maternal grandparents are Larry and Linda Gray of Cynthiana.
    Paternal grandparents are O.B. and Sylvia Reynolds of Cynthiana.

    Hank Russell Davis was born to Kenneth Russell Davis and Emily Arnold Davis of Lexington, Ky. on Jan. 16, 2011 at Central Baptist Hospital. He weighed 5 lbs. 15 oz.
    Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Lemuel Arnold Jr.; maternal great-grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Lemuel Arnold Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ross Pepper Jr.

    * Cynthiana Democrat, Feb. 2, 1922 -- “Dr. G. A. Beckett, in charge of Monticello Sanitarium, this city, has executed a contract with the National Government for the care and treatment of 50 tubercular patients, World War veterans. Monticello is the former T. J. Megibben residence, one of the finest in Kentucky in its day, situated on a commanding elevation in the outskirts of Cynthiana.”

    Madelynn Leigh Muntz was born to Josh and Ashley Muntz of Cynthiana on Nov. 24, 2010 at Saint Joseph East Hospital. She weighed 8 lbs. 3 oz.
    Maternal grandparents are Danny and Emma Stroub of Cynthiana; maternal great-grandparents are Mary Stroub of Cynthiana and the late Henry Stroub and Mary Hedges of Paris, Ky. and the late Harvey Hedges.
    Paternal grandparents are Connie Webber and Danny and Julie Muntz, all of Cynthiana; paternal great-grandparents are Cecil Webber and the late Georgina Webber and the late Charles Muntz and the late Hedy Muntz, all of Cynthiana.

    Ashley Graham Brown and Sarah J. Kuster Brown of Smithfield, N.C., announce the birth of their daughter, Elizabeth Grace on Jan. 18, 2011, at Wake Med Hospital in Cary, N.C.
    Elizabeth Grace weighed 6 lbs 0 oz.
    Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Dewey (Skip and Sylvia) Kuster III of Cynthiana. Great-grandparents are Marguerite Wornall Kuster of Cynthiana and the late Dewey Kuster Jr.  and the late Blanche B. Lewis and J. Vance Lewis of New Bern, N.C.

  • Colton Joseph Hutchison

    Colton Joseph Hutchison was born Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011, at Harrison Memorial Hospital to Dean and Andrea Hutchison. He weighed 7 lbs. and 6 oz.
    He is welcomed home by his brothers, Andrew and Brody Fryman.
    Colton’s maternal grandparents are Mike and Joyce Gibson. Paternal grandparents are Joe and Ann Hutchison.

    * Cynthiana Weekly News, July 1866 -- “A bonded whiskey warehouse on North Main Street collapsed with a ‘tremendous’ cresh, with the result that for the time being whiskey was in plentiful supply in Cynthiana. A great time was had by many.”
    * Log Cabin, Sept. 21, 1917 -- “Army Mules Wanted. Will be in Cynthiana Court Day, Monday, Sept. 24 to buy mules for United States Army, 1,000 to 1,250 pounds, five to 10 years old. Bring in your mules. Gentry-Thompson Co.”
