    BERRY HIGH CLASS OF 1948
    The 1948 graduating class of Berry High School held their annual class reunion at Biancke’s Restaurant in Cynthiana on Sept. 22 to celebrate the 63rd anniversary of their graduation.
    There were only three class members in attendance: Nancy Palmer Beckett, Cynthiana, Charles Ray Conrad, Burlington, and Forrest Gill, Florence. One spouse in attendance was Mrs. Charles (Norma Jean) Conrad.
    The group expressed special tribute in memory of two deaths which occurred during this year.

  • Democratic Woman’s Club holds Jefferson-Jackson Dinner

    The Harrison County Democratic Woman’s Club held its Jefferson-Jackson Dinner with a tribute to John M. Keith Jr. on Monday, Sept. 12 at the Cynthiana Country Club.
    The Master of Ceremonies was Judge Charles William Kuster Jr. Other speakers were L. Andrew Keith, Dr. J. Ashley Keith, K. Bruce Florence, Doug Hampton and the Honorable Douglas Miller.

  • Cummins-Cobbins plan October wedding

    Tyris, Alarra, Airsiah Cobbins, along with their grandmother, Vesta Cummins of Georgetown, announce the forthcoming marriage of their parents, Cartia Renee Cummins and Larry Denard Cobbins Jr., son of Vivian Benson and Larry Cobbins Sr. of Hattisburg, Miss.
    Cummins is a 2001 graduate of Harrison County High School. She is employed by a health care agency.
    Cobbins is a 1996 graduate of Hattisburg High School. He is employed by International Crankshaft in Georgetown, Ky.

  • Royse-Schirmer exchange vows

    Sarah Elizabeth Royse of Louisville, Ky., daughter of Keith and Jeanie Royse of Cynthiana, and Mark Thomas Schirmer of Louisville, son of Charles and Suzanne Schirmer of Lexington, Ky., were united in marriage on July 30, 2011 at 5:30 p.m. at  Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest.
    The Rev. Charles Schirmer, father of the groom, officiated the ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Keith Royse.
