    Charleigh Elizabeth Koch was born to Charles and Katie Koch of Cynthiana on Oct. 29, 2014 at St. Joseph East.
    She weighed 7 lbs. 14 oz., and is welcomed by her sisters, Addie, Sutton and Delaney.
    Maternal grandparents are Steve and Ann Northam of Jeffersonville, Ind.
    Paternal grandparents are Gus and Theresa Koch of Paris, Ky.

  • Cynthiana Kiwanis Club to sponsor magic and variety show fundraiser

    The Cynthiana Kiwanis Club is sponsoring a fundraiser to continue to aid the community with local projects. To reward the community of this very special charity, we are hosting a brand new Magic and Illusion Variety show featuring one of Kentucky’s finest illusionists, Dinky Gowen.
    The event will be held Saturday, Dec. 20 at 7 p.m. at the Harrison County High School.

  • Pinney hosts special DAR meeting Dec. 6

    The Cynthiana Chapter of the DAR met at the home of Karrol Pinney on Dec. 6. This was a special meeting to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Cynthiana Chapter NSDAR.
    Guests were welcomed as follows: Lynda Closson, Vice President General, NSDAR; Dena Green, State Recording Secretary, KSDAR; Kay Thomas, State Curator, KSDAR; and Jessianne Wells, Honorary State Regent, KSDAR. Sandy Craddock and Paula Lyon were welcomed. Craddock’s application is pending, and Lyon is a prospective new member.
